Statement of Faith, Article IV of the Vistoso Community Church Bylaws
Section 1
We believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power. We rejoice that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, granting the right of the individual to directly approach Him in prayer and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ . (Genesis 1:1; I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 1:3-6; John 14:6)

Section 2
We believe in the pre-eminence of Jesus Christ as our Savior, and divine Lord, Godís only begotten Son, born of a virgin, sinless in His life, who atoned for the sins of the world by His death on the cross.
We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His high Priestly intercession for His people, and His personal, visible, pre-millennial return to the world according to His purpose. (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:26-33; John 1:1-5,14; Philippians 2:6-8; Colossians 2:8-9; Acts 1:9-11, 7:56; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 1:3 Luke 12:40; I Thessalonians 4:13-17; Titus 2:13; I John 3:1-3)
Section 3
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from God to convict the world of sin, of unrighteousness and of judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, comfort, empower and seal forever those who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that, at the time of salvation, each believer in Christ is baptized by the Holy Spirit and becomes a member of the body of Christ. (John 14:16-17, 16:7-11; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9-13; I Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:13)

Section 4
We believe that the Bible is Godís infallible Word, written by men who were divinely and uniquely inspired, and that it is our supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice. We affirm our belief in the verbal and full, complete, and absolute inspiration of the Scriptures in their original autographs. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Jude 3)

Section 5
We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice, but that ďGod so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.Ē We believe that those who place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ shall receive eternal life and have an eternal home with God, and that those who refuse to repent and trust in Him shall spend an eternity apart from God in great anguish. We believe that this eternal life is by grace, which means the work of God apart from any merit or work on the part of man. Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-5
Section 6
We believe that the local church is to be composed of regenerated believers, voluntarily united together for the purpose of worship and the proclamation of the gospel of Christ; and observing the two Scriptural ordinances of Believerís Baptism by immersion and the Lordís Supper/Communion; and the fellowship of believers. Although we believe that both the Lordís Supper/Communion and Believerís Baptism are means of illustrating and teaching profound truths to the fellowship of believers, neither are the means of salvation, which is received by faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ alone.

We believe in the complete independence of the local church and its interdependence in association with other like-minded churches. We support one nation under God and the separation of church and state, but not the separation of Christian influence from the ruling of our nation. ( Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 12:17; Luke 22:19-20; John 1:12-13, 3:3; Acts 2:42-47, 8:36-39; Romans 6:3-5, 13:1-7; I Corinthians 11:23-29 Galatians 3:27; Ephesians 2:19-22)

Section 7
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers, for which the lord so earnestly prayed. (John 17:20-21)

Covenant, Article V of the Vistoso Community Church Bylaws
Article V
Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God, angels , and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body of Christ.

We engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality, to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of VCC, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through all nations.
We also engage to maintain family and personal devotions; to give our family Christ guidance, to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements; to abstain from the misuse of our bodies which are the temples of God; to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness; and to walk in the light as He is in the light that we have fellowship with God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy spirit, and with all who follow Him.

We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech, to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay.

We moreover engage that, when we remove from this place, we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of Godís Word.
